Who We Are

ONE is a women’s community Bible Study that welcomes women from many backgrounds of faith and church affiliation.

A Community Bible Study

We believe when women know and experience the love of Jesus Christ, they can authentically love and serve others. We encourage women from diverse faith backgrounds to safely explore who Jesus Christ is. We provide the opportunity for women to develop friendships in a community centered on Jesus Christ. We teach the Bible as the authoritative and inerrant Word of God.

our History

ONE was established in 2011 when a group of our Founders saw a need for women to be in the community to study the Bible, connect in fellowship, and encourage one another in their faith. With the support of local churches, ONE was created.

Our Founding Members: Donna Buhrow, Jules Moody, Claudia Riewald, Carol Schwein, Margie Shinn, Tina Starr, and DeAnne Welberg.

what we believe

We believe that the Godhead (God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit) are one God yet three persons, having the same nature, attributes and perfections.
We believe that Jesus Christ was and is the second person of the Godhead from eternity past. We believe that at His incarnation, He was both fully God and fully human. We believe that at His incarnation He did not lay aside His deity, but set aside His right to display His attributes at His own will. Thus Jesus Christ submitted Himself to God the Father. (Philippians 2:5-8)
We believe that humanity was originally created in the image of God and through sin, fell. The consequence of sin is the death of spiritual life and subjection to the power of the devil. We believe that all of humanity is born “in Adam” with original sin and without faith in the atoning work of Jesus Christ, they are lost and will spend eternity apart from God.
We believe that salvation was accomplished solely by the blood of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who took our sin, dying in our place. There are no human efforts, good works, good intentions, no submission to the rules of any church from any age that can add to the sufficiency of the blood that Jesus Christ shed on the cross.
We believe that spiritual birth comes through faith in the atoning work of Jesus Christ through His death on the Cross.
We believe that Jesus Christ will return to earth to set up his kingdom and reign in truth, righteousness and justice.
We believe that the authors of Scripture were inspired by the Holy Spirit to write the very words of God. We believe, therefore, that the whole Bible is without error in its original manuscripts.
